Can't join multiplayer worlds.

I haven't been able to join other players worlds for well over a year now. Minecraft is the only game to give me any issue like this whatsoever, and it's pissing me off. If I could request the money I've spent on the several editions I've paid for I would but just like this neverending bug that would do no good either.
