Unable to connect: Outdated Server - Nintendo Switch

I got a Minecraft update on March 9, 2021 and suddenly started getting the message of Unable to Connect:  Outdated Server.  This happens when I try to connect to my Cross-Platform friends.  My Switch is using Minecraft version 1.16.210.  I have checked for any new software updates and it says that I am using the latest version.  I have tried deleting the Minecraft software and reloading it and am still getting the same message of Unable to Connect:  Outdated Server.  What do I need to do to get my Switch to connect to my Cross-Platform friends?
