Offline play is kinda glitchy

When I'm connected to the internet it says that I am logged out before it automatically signs me in, while doing this the marketplace has a red exclamation mark in the top left corner.

When offline I am logged in but my skin will not load... I have not tried to uninstall and reinstall minecraft yet.
