Blocks not breaking/game freezing

I have had daily issues with Minecraft on my switch. I have the most updated version, and this issue happens in spite of being connected to wifi or not, and on several different wifi connections. The blocks will take a solid 5 seconds to break, and the sky will show through any solid walls if I fly. If I try to hit + to save and quit, it loads and loads, and if I am able to get the menu to come up, it doesn't ever get back to the menu screen. I have to close the game from the home screen of the switch, and it will tell me it closed due to an error, even though I closed it manually.

This is making my game near unplayable, as sometimes it lags so bad, the blocks take more than a minute to break, which makes digging out the cavern I'm working on impossible. Sometimes I am able to play for hours without this error, but I just started up my game 5 minutes ago and it started lagging, right after I restarted my switch completely. 

Please tell me a fix is coming!
