Custom Skins Don’t Appear on Character

After the 1.16.210 update, I cannot choose a custom skin because it will not show up after selecting it. If I choose a skin, it will stay as the previous skin I had on, but if I select a custom skin where it says “Create Character,” it will show up as  a Steve or Alex.
