Minecraft (switch card version) not working after update

Hi,

Updated Minecraft yesterday - after update the program has stopped working altogether. When you click into it it's a black screen. If you try to close the software it says the software has been closed due to an error. 
have tried restarting the whole Switch, pulling the game card in and out, tried closing and restarting software. Each time just a black screen when going in.
