Default servers not working Xbox

I've been trying to play servers like Mineville and Mineplex but they are always just stuck on the 'Connecting to external server' screen. It then takes like ten minutes and just goes to a screen that says "Unable to connect to world. Connection timed out." I've even reinstalled the game, re-connected and disconnected wi-fi and it still happens.
