The wool trick with the sculk sensors doesn't work

In this picture, I've completely encased this sensor, and yet it still is sensing when I jump or move. Also, ever since the update that turned pocket edition into bedrock edition, if I try and click on Minecraft with my internet disconnected, the game crashes immediately. I think it was 1.2.0, but I'm not really sure. Please help me. Thank you!
