Redstone repeater stays on when power source is off

I was doing a little work with redstone and at some point the signal stop(as always) so placed a repeater to make the signal strong, but when i touch the button (the power source) the first signal of redstone turn off,as it should, but after the repeater everything stays on, including the repeater, i don't know if it's a bug or not (I'm new here) but if it is, please fix it.
