Minecraft locks up while fullscreen with nVidia ShadowPlay enabled

If you have ShadowPay enabled on your nVidia graphics card, Minecraft will hang at the menu screen if you have the game set to fullscreen. Workarounds include disabling ShadowPlay (recommended) or running the game in a window.
