Shulker boxes and pistons at Y 255 cause the player to fall through blocks when pushed by the shulker box or piston

Steps to Reproduce:

1. Place 2 blocks next to each other at Y 254
2. On top of one of the blocks, place a shulker box facing sideways
3. Stand in front of the shulker box
4. Open the shulker box

Observed Results:
The player falls through the block.

Expected Results:
The player should not fall through the block.

Original Description:
As title says... i have an ice plate near the build height of my world... where i have a row of shulker boxes and standing in front of them causes me to be pushed through the ice floor and i have to use my elytra to glide to safety...
