Painting Glitch

I was placing then destroying paintings to find one I wanted. (While doing this with paintings in my hand) I put down a large painting then tried to destroy it, but a smaller painting overlapped it as shown in the screen shot below.
How to duplicate:
1.Place a large painting
2.try destroying it with a painting in your hand. A smaller painting will overlap the first one.
Note: this may not occur every time.
