Achievements Not Unlocking in Survival

This bug report is for an issue that prevents you from receiving any achievements in a world which does not have the message "Achievements can not be earned in this world" at the top of the world settings.

If you are having an issue like this but you don't know whether it affects all achievements, you might want to try one or both of these ideas first:

• Check the Minecraft Wiki for the detailed requirements to earn the missing achievement(s).
• Ask the community for help (at the Mojang Discord or Mojang sub-reddit.

Problems with specific achievements are typically easier to fix than a generic problem, so unless you know that your problem is affecting all achievements, it is better to report it as being specific to the achievement you were trying to earn.

It has been reported that using a private DNS can cause this problem. On Android, in Settings > Network & Internet > Private DNS, you might try turning it off or setting it to Automatic. Note that if you are using a private DNS server to enhance your privacy, block ads, or circumvent regional access restrictions, changing this setting might interfere with your purpose.
