Very slow and glitchy

There are a ton of slow spots and glitches that occur. A chest can take up to 10 seconds to open when you hit it. When on rail carts the movement will pause every 1-5 seconds. When the cart pauses you can still move your curser around which is odd. The loading to see a distance also loads very slow and sometimes can't continue moving forward until it is loaded.

 

Is this a common problem with anyone else or is it just my system doing its own thing?
