Controls are not working in Pocket Edition on my Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 10.1

When playing in either survival or creative, multi player or single player the controls don't work properly. I will stop being able to move forward (like I hit a wall) or forward will become stuck and I can't stop walking. I wont be able to look while walking (or turn) because as soon and I swipe my finger movement stops. Occasionally my character will look every-which-way very rapidly and randomly. This has happened since I updated my tablet's OS about a week ago. I am not sure if it is a problem on your end or if it is a Samsung issue but regardless it means I can't play the game.
