Minecraft windows 10 edition (free copy) stuck on red screen

So, I wanted to play with my friend that hasnt got mc java edition. and i remembered that i have a free copy that i got for purchasing java edition. so i opened it and the mojang logo appeared then theres just a red screen. i can hear the music and when i click randomly i hear the clicking sound effect. so i know that mc is running in the background but i cant see. is there anything i can do? i heard that its because of the gpu but when i tried to change it to high i cant choose minecraft windows 10 edition.
