red flashing screen

I just bought the windows 10 version and when I opened it up it showed the loading screen then flashed red and black I also got it as a gift card so it wont let me refund it to get java please help I want to return it and I want to get java I found out I cant do hardcore or any of the features I originally wanted please help me refund and please fix the bug I tried everything and it wont get fixed
