Stuck on Mojang Screen

When I would first try to open Minecraft, it would show the Mojang Studios screen, but it would freeze on that screen and not progress. I remember seeing an update summary stating that this was fixed but the issue is still here. To fix this manually, I have to delete Minecraft and re-download and reinstall the game again. However, the his only fixed the problem temporarily.
