I set up my spawnpoint with a bed but when I die, I spawn in the game start area not in the place where I place the bed.

Sleeping or clicking on a bed doesn’t effect my spawn point so if I die I respawn on the very first spawn point when the game starts so i have to travel 500 blocks again to find my base again and again.
