Cant collect achievement rewards on bedrock:PS4

On minecraft bedrock for the ps4, i and many others cannot collect the character customizations that come with certain achievements. even though I've beaten this game multiple times and gotten most achievements, i cant get the "lumberjacks shirt", a flannel that comes with the achievement  "getting wood". I'm pretty sure the problem stems from the fact that ps4 has "trophies" and the game probably doesn't recognize achievements and trophies as the same thing.
