Breaking chest by punching crashes the game if the chest was not previously opened

It's been replicable for me.  Punching open a chest with contents in it will crash the game as soon as the chest is broken if the chest was not previously opened by the player.

Steps to Reproduce:

1. Find a naturally generated chest that has not been opened by the player
2. Break the chest
3. Game crashes
