Try to join friends realms but invite tab is not there

I try to join my friends realm through invite but the invite letter doesn't show up beside the join realm tab. I have tried everything, I tried deleting the game and redownloading it, messing with my internet and it still doesn't show up. It's getting really irritating that I can't join.
