Game consistently crashes from “updating packs”

Every time I try and play my world OR exit the marketplace OR exit settings, a pop up will happen that says “Updating Packs 1 of 1.” It has done this “update” every day for the last few days since the most recent Minecraft update. Before it seemingly did update whatever pack it was talking about, but now it consistently crashes my game. I searched everywhere and did not find anything that matched my issue, especially because I don’t have any texture packs installled at all. There should be nothing to update. If I disconnect from the internet, I am able to play my worlds with no issue. Please fix.
