Game crashed while riding horse, now horse and saddle gone

I was riding a horse that I've had a while when the game crashed. When I opened the game up again the horse I'd been riding had completely vanished, along with the saddle and gold armour it had been wearing. The wolves I had with me vanished too but they reappeared about a minute later when I was looking around, but the horse is nowhere to be seen. Is there any way I can get it back? I'm most bothered about the saddle seeing as it's not going to be easy for me to replace it at my point in the game
