I Can't Join My Friends Games

When I join my friends it says connecting to server, and after a minute of loading it says failed to connect. If I do get into their game, I get disconnected after 5-10 minutes of playing and the same happens if my friend joins me. This has been happening for months and I would really love for it to be fixed, so my friends and I could all play together. I play on an iPhone XR iOS 14.2.
