Every time I stop gameplay, next time I start I've lost all inventory, even though I haven't died.

Every time I go to play, I have to start with no inventory. I've lost so much, I'm back to stone weapons etc. It's really annoying as it's not even because I've been killed. I turn the tablet on, open the game, and there I am with nothing again,
