Ink sacs not craft able into black dye

Basically ink sacks that were brought from a wandering villager wasn't able to turn into black dye, but there was an alternative where you could kill squids to get the dye. Me and my friend also tried to stack the sacks to see if they would combine and make the dye, unfortunately it wasn't able to stack and now we are left with 30 random ink sacks
