New anvil broke after 3 uses

Combined two bows to make a power 3 bow - twice and combined those to make a power 4. Had plenty of experience but in creating the power 4 bow, i.e. the third use, the anvil broke. This may be an ‘enhancement’ but the cost of essentially 10 iron bars to combine 2 items seems a tad high so I think bug.
