Microsoft account not letting me join multiplayer

When i load Minecraft, it says that my microsoft account is inavalid to play multiplayer, and it shows me a link to fix it. I've follwed the steps mutliple times, of the Xbox Online preferences, and I press "Allow" on all the options that need to be allowed and I log out and log back in and restart my console, uninstalled and reinstalled Minecraft, and every time I launch Minecraft, it still gives me the "you cannot play online multiplayer because of how your account is set up..."
