Inverted controls without changing them in settings

I am an active beta tester and in my survival world, I logged out and then back in and had inverted controls. Up was down, left was right, ect. Happened 4 or 5 times. Only happened while one block in water. Tested various heights and that seemed to be the only one where the controls inverted.

(Possible) Reproduction of Issue:

1) Play in Beta Minecraft

2) Go into survival

3) Get one block in to water

4) Log out of world and back in semi-quickly 

 Observed results: 

Control differences in my Minceraft world. Inability to jump or swim. Elytra stopped working.

Expected results:

Any control differences, elytra malfunction
