Synchronization is not working

So i play on 2 xbox's in different locations and i went to my other xbox and when i clicked on my world it did say synchronizing but when i went into my world all of my old progress was there not my new progress so it woild be helpful if anyone can help as i cant figure out a way to re sync my world and i dont want my progress to basically be reset to its earlier version.
