mincraft world deleted by itself and settings reset by iteself

my mincraft worlds have been deleting themselves, my settings reset. Two of my worlds have been deleted and i playing in them for years, one day it delted itself and my settings reset didnt think much about it until it kept on happening to lots of my world's. Please help me find a way to get them back i spent a lot of time an deffoort in them
