Villagers despawning after new RTX update

3 of my villagers have despawned. 2 were nametagged. It appears others are having the same issue. See comments on MCPE-26338.

Each villager is locked into a small area using a gate. The compound the villagers live in is surrounded by a tall stone brick wall.

 

Expected result: villagers will be present in their designated areas.

Actual result: upon logging in, random villagers have disappeared. They do not reappear if I restart the game. In fact, more villagers then disappear. So far we have lost 3 key villagers with top level enchantments to trade, so I'm sure you can appreciate this is annoying.
