can't ride minecart in creative mode

When in crative mode you can't ride a minecart. You can place a minecart on the rails but when you hit the ride button the minecart vanishes. In version 11 of Minecraft PE one could ride a minecart in creative. Riding a minecrat in creative is handy especially if one has a large world to get around in. Can this please get fixed for the next update. Thanks.
