Start Up Ccreen Blank

After Minecraft loads past the Mojang screen, start up screen is missing the play game buttons. Only the background can be seen with no other choices. Had a friend who also had this issue after updating to 1.16.200. I was able to play on 1.16.100 right before the update, but afterwards this became the start menu
