Windows 10 Edition stuck on red Mojang Screen

I started up Minecraft windows 10 edition as per usual and everything was working fine, I went to join my friends realm and it said 'Outdated client' so I went into the windows app store to update the game. The update installed and I launched the game. The pink/red Mojang screen appeared as it usually does before switching to the white and grey loading screen however this didn't happen. The Mojang logo disappeared and I was left with just a pink screen for a few seconds before it started to flash between pink and black. I have tried everything to try and fix this. Uninstalling and redownloading does not help. I even updated my computer but that didn't fix it either?
