Latency

So I tried to go to beta to test out how fast the game is because I have a very bad laptop I use in school and to my surprise it wasnt laggy but my issue it has latency in it. If i left click it will take 0.5-1 seconds for my hits to register, if i move around I have to wait until my movements register. Though I'm not sure if its just my laptop but I dont lag at all at 16 chunks but its just the latency.
I have also tested to try and lower down my render distance and graphics options but its still having latency. Pls update me if this is a bug or just on my device
