Trident stuck in nowhere

It happend when I was working on my Chreeperfarm (Y=200): I acsidently throu an top enchanted Loyalty Trident out of my reenderdistance. As far as I know they come back after about 60 blocks if they hit nothing. Anyway I found it floating at Y=150 in the midele of the air (Thanks Elytra). It wasn't going twords me like it schuld if it has Loyalty but stucking in the air twords the farm (It may have turn when I was shuting past). Sorry for the English.
