Items burning at the same time for no found reason

Yesterday, I walked up to my chickens and they all started burning to death at the same time. I was not playing multiplayer and I couldn't find any lava or any other sources. Today almost my entire house started burning down for no reason whatsoever. I do not have a fireplace in my house nor any lava again. I lost almost everything that I've built to these random fires. Sometimes other animals start burning when I walk up to them that are nowhere near my house or wherever the fire would be coming from.
