No way to view enchantments in chests

There is no way to see which enchantment is on a book or other item sitting in a chest. This makes it really difficult if you have a chest of different enchanted items to pick the right one. Given that enchanting mechanics have a random element, you tend to generate a number of different enchanted items over time. This is a significant usability issue.
