Disappearing blocks

In the most recent Bedrock update (1.16.100), occasionally, when you switch to a new tool, say, an axe to a hoe, when you start using it, the blocks you've mined will disappear, but there wont be particles, noise, or a hitbox for the block. Within a couple seconds, it'll all appear again, but it gets frustrating. This is extremely prevalent in the nether.
