Enemy textures stop moving and the actual mob hits you and is invisible

What happens is that a zombie acts normally but then it stops walking and the actual entity follows you and attacks you but the texture is not moving with the entity but still has the attacking animation and has happened multiple times and has even happened with a skeleton
