Doesn't let me join servers (including a few featured servers)

It's doesn't allow me to join servers, it gets me stuck on the connecting to external server screen and this has only happened ever since the 1.16.100 update. I can join the hive and cube craft, but all the external servers and mineville and the rest of the featured servers I can't join.
