You must be connected to wifi to play with friends

I can't play multiplayer because it says "You must be connected to wifi to play with friends" but my settings are on "use cellular data." I also checked my phone's settings and they're at the same settings I normally had them on, I have unlimited data. This issue never happened for me until the new bug fix. (I even signed out and deleted the app and it still didn’t work.)
