Minecraft is not letting me play online because it says i need wifi and i have the cellular data setting turned on

I have minecraft on my android phone which is completely updated I also have installed the minecraft update 1.16.100 on November 17th, 2020 and i always have the setting to play on my cellular data because i dont have access to wifi and i go to play on my friends realm after i updated the game and it tells me i have to be on wifi to play with friends. So i decided to try signing in and out of my account it did not work. I have tried uninstalling the game and installing it again and this also hasnt worked. Please fix this and thank you in advance
