/fill invincibility glitch

Using the command /fill ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ end_portal in the nether to enter the end, then using /fill ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ portal in the nether  will bring you back into the over world. I did this in creative, then when I switched my gamemode to survival I was effectively invincible. I took no damage and mobs ignored me
