Items vanishing on death

Ok so there was a new update that had just released recently and ever since the update I would die every one of my items in my inventory would vanish like they de-spawned or something of the sort and what is upsetting me is that i had full enchanted netherite gear and this happened the both time since the update I was at my skele spawner gaining levels went afk and got back and I had gotten killed by a zombie but the only items that remained were my items that the zombie put on and later I had been hurt by a witch and then a creeper showed up and blew me up and when I got back to where I died in like 30 seconds everything I had was gone and I don't know what to do I asked the host of the realm to load a back-up and I should be ok but I'm hoping you guys look into this I did see the same problem that was resolved but it seems to be a problem again
