No chat at all

When typing something into chat, when I press enter, nothing sends. I did this with and without the `Hide` button enabled, and did this pressing enter and clicking the up arrow and clicking on send. I also tried everything on and off a LAN server. I know there is no chat because it isn't recieved on the android and iPad I am playing on LAN with, but they can chat just fine to me.

This doesn't happen anymore. I don't know why, but chat magically started working again after a few days. I was doing nothing (to my knowledge) different. I would close this issue now.
