Constant crashing

The game constantly crashes. It takes unusually long to start up, once loaded if I go onto the character editor it crashes. If I go onto my World and move at all it crashes. I've uninstalled and reinstalled and it didn't help, I've also removed the texture pack I use and it didn't help.
