Ender Dragon Egg Doesn't drop after falling on to torch?

When i killed the ender dragon and right-clicked on it to teleport so I could pick it up when it drops on to a torch the egg item did not drop I have now lost the only egg in my survival world!

Sorry if the video is a bit glitchy I stream to twitch to record my videos and twitch messes it up a lot.

Also I checked world spawn and it wasn't there either?

I am in beta but I have a beta remover texture pack on!
